With their rich colours and sparkling ornaments, wooden toys are picturesque symbols of the Zagreb region. These handicrafts which are characteristic for this region's church feasts have been made for more than a century first in rustic families and later on in handicraftmsmen's families. Toys made of a lime tree are designed by men and coloured by women. In the past, these toys were not only sold at church feasts, but also throughout Croatia, even in distant Australia. Today they give great joy tto children and comfort to grown-ups eyes and heart.
